A frontline aspirant for the Igboetiti/Uzo-Uwani Federal Constituency seat in the 2027 general elections, Ucheonwu Prince-Henry Hart, has described the endorsement of Peter Mbah and Bola Ahmed Tinubu by the people of Enugu North Senatorial District as a clear demonstration of confidence in purposeful leadership and effective governance.
Hart made the remark while speaking with journalists shortly after a mega political rally held in Nsukka at the weekend, where stakeholders across the senatorial district gathered in large numbers to publicly align with the two leaders ahead of the 2027 electoral cycle.
The rally, which attracted political leaders, traditional rulers, youth groups, women organisations and members of the business community, was marked by a symbolic donation of ₦102 million in support of Governor Mbah’s re-election bid.

According to Hart, the scale of participation and the level of financial commitment by supporters underscore a growing acceptance of the administration’s performance and a collective desire to sustain ongoing development initiatives.
“What we witnessed in Nsukka was far beyond a conventional political gathering. It was a spontaneous and organic expression of the people’s will, rooted in visible governance outcomes and a shared commitment to progress,” he said.
He added that the endorsement of both Governor Mbah and President Tinubu reflects a convergence of local and national interests around leadership that prioritises long-term development.
“The ₦102 million donation is not merely a financial contribution; it is a powerful symbol of unity, trust and belief in leadership that delivers. It shows that the people are not just spectators but active participants in shaping the future of Enugu State,” Hart stated.
The aspirant commended Governor Mbah for what he described as transformational interventions in key sectors, including infrastructure, education and healthcare, noting that these achievements have redefined governance in the state.

“From the construction of critical road networks to the rollout of smart schools and improvements in healthcare delivery, the governor has demonstrated capacity, vision and urgency. These are the factors driving the widespread support we are seeing today,” he added.
On the endorsement of President Tinubu, Hart emphasised the need for policy continuity at the federal level, arguing that ongoing economic reforms require time and stability to yield tangible results.
“As a nation, we must remain consistent and patient. The President’s policies are designed for long-term economic stability and growth. The endorsement by our people reflects a clear understanding of this trajectory,” he said.
Reaffirming his ambition to represent Igboetiti/Uzo-Uwani Federal Constituency, Hart pledged to align his legislative agenda with the development priorities of both the state and federal governments.
“My aspiration is anchored on service, integrity and purposeful representation. I am committed to complementing ongoing efforts and ensuring that our constituency fully benefits from government programmes and policies,” he stated.
Political analysts view the rally as a significant early signal of alignment within Enugu North, suggesting that it could shape the dynamics of the 2027 elections, particularly as stakeholders begin to consolidate support around continuity in leadership.
