Chuks AI, a WhatsApp-native insurance technology platform, has officially launched in Nigeria, enabling users to purchase insurance policies and initiate claims directly on WhatsApp in alignment with National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) regulations and industry standards.
The platform, which connects customers with NAICOM-licensed insurers and approved insurance products, offers a secure conversational interface that allows users to obtain quotations, complete policy purchases, submit claims documentation and track claim status transparently.
According to the Communications Manager of Chuks AI, Stephen Adediran, the innovation is designed to strengthen access without undermining regulation. “Chuks AI is built to complement Nigeria’s regulated insurance framework, not to circumvent it. Our focus is on improving access, efficiency and trust while fully respecting regulatory oversight and the role of licensed insurers,” he said.
He explained that all policies are issued by licensed insurers and all claims decisions remain with those insurers, noting that Chuks AI functions strictly as a technology-enabled distribution and servicing layer.
The company disclosed plans to expand into select African markets and the United Kingdom in the first quarter of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals.
