The Director General of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Mrs. Zubaida Umar, has reaffirmed the Agency’s commitment to strengthening its partnership with the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) to enhance humanitarian support for vulnerable Nigerians across the country.
Mrs. Umar gave the assurance while receiving a delegation from KSrelief at the NEMA headquarters in Abuja.
She commended KSrelief for its sustained support to humanitarian interventions in Nigeria, noting that the partnership has continued to complement the Federal Government’s efforts in responding to the needs of disaster-affected persons and other vulnerable groups.
According to the NEMA Director General, the collaboration between both organisations remains critical to improving humanitarian response and supporting communities facing diverse challenges.
The KSrelief delegation was led by its representative, Mr. Majeed Alanazi, who said the visit was aimed at strengthening engagement with NEMA ahead of the commencement of the direct distribution of food baskets to vulnerable households in selected states.
Alanazi expressed appreciation to NEMA for the longstanding partnership and support in facilitating humanitarian interventions in the country.
He emphasized KSrelief’s commitment to supporting vulnerable communities and improving the welfare of those in need.
The food distribution exercise is expected to benefit vulnerable households in Yobe, Benue, Kebbi, Taraba and Anambra states.

The renewed collaboration underscores ongoing efforts by humanitarian agencies and development partners to mitigate the impact of disasters and socio-economic challenges affecting vulnerable populations across Nigeria.
