President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will on October 14 inaugurate the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The inauguration, scheduled to hold at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, is expected to bring together party leaders and key stakeholders to coordinate the President’s re-election campaign.
Former Zamfara State Governor and Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Abdulaziz Yari, disclosed this on Friday after meeting with Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, where he briefed State House correspondents on preparations for the forthcoming campaign.

Yari said the President had approved the proposed campaign timetable, with activities expected to commence with a rally in Kaduna on October 24, followed by engagements in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, and Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.
Meanwhile, First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, in collaboration with the Director of Women Mobilisation of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Dr Betta Edu, and other members of the directorate, has commenced grassroots mobilisation of women ahead of the election.

The initiative is targeting 40 million women’s votes for the Tinubu-Shettima ticket through a nationwide engagement strategy covering 176,846 communities and polling-unit structures across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The mobilisation drive is designed to strengthen the APC’s grassroots support among women through community outreach, mobilisation networks and the promotion of the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda 2.0.

The October 14 inauguration is expected to formalise the campaign council’s operations and establish a coordinated framework for the party’s nationwide mobilisation ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

The inauguration will precede the planned October 24 rally in Kaduna, which is expected to mark the commencement of the President’s nationwide re-election campaign.
