The newly appointed Acting Secretary to the State Government (SSG) of Yobe State, Dr. Mohammed Goje, has received a vote of confidence from the Veterinary Council of Nigeria (VCN), which described his appointment as a recognition of dedication, competence, and exemplary leadership.
The commendation came on Wednesday when the President of the Veterinary Council of Nigeria, Prof. Mathew Adamu, represented by the Vice President, Prof. Halima Idrisa Gambo, led a delegation on a courtesy visit to Dr. Goje at his office in Damaturu.
The visit was disclosed in a statement issued by Madina Gertrude, Head, Information & PR.
Speaking during the visit, Prof. Halima Idrisa Gambo conveyed the goodwill message of the VCN President and the entire veterinary community, congratulating Dr. Goje on his recent appointment and reaffirming the Council’s commitment to supporting excellence and leadership in public service.

She noted that the Council views the appointment as a testament to Dr. Goje’s years of dedication, professional competence, and wealth of experience, expressing confidence in his ability to deliver effectively in his new role.
According to her, Dr. Goje possesses the knowledge, skills, and positive disposition required to contribute meaningfully to the continued growth and development of Yobe State.
As part of the visit, the delegation presented a congratulatory letter from the Veterinary Council of Nigeria, wishing the Acting SSG wisdom, success, and strength in the discharge of his responsibilities.
Responding, Dr. Mohammed Goje expressed appreciation to the Veterinary Council of Nigeria for the visit and the show of support, describing the gesture as encouraging.
He thanked the Council for its goodwill and pledged to continue serving the people of Yobe State with dedication, commitment, and a strong sense of responsibility.
The Veterinary Council of Nigeria also reiterated its commitment to promoting professional excellence and strengthening partnerships that support national development and effective public service delivery.
