In Robert Zemeckis’s 1994 film Forrest Gump, Tom Hanks ran across America for nearly three years, driven by nothing but impulse.
David Goggins, a former U.S. Navy SEAL, takes on some of the toughest races on earth, pushing his limits to raise awareness and funds for causes greater than himself.
Now, two young Nigerians are stepping forward, this time, driven by compassion.
Jude Enumujekonishu and Theodore Ogedengbe will run 21.1km every day for 6 days (August 5–10, 2026), covering a total of 126.6km across all 6 geopolitical zones in Nigeria, to raise awareness for asthma.
As a runner, I understand what it takes to show up for 21.1km, six days in a row. No hype, just discipline, pain, and purpose.
I’m humbly calling on well-meaning Nigerians to support this cause in any way possible, through donations, logistics, hydration support, media coverage, or simply encouragement.
And to runners in these states, come out and run a few miles with them. Let them feel the strength of the community behind them.
If God permits and all variables align, I’ll be on the road with them too.
Wishing Jude and Theo the very best. We believe in this.
