The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has approached Razor Newspaper for an official media partnership ahead of its 2026 Biennial National Leadership Lecture and Patrons’ Investiture, seeking to strengthen publicity, event coverage and public engagement around the initiative.

In a partnership proposal dated October 23, 2026, and addressed to the Editor-in-Chief of Razor Newspaper, Sunday Odita, the Guild said the collaboration would provide an opportunity to amplify discussions on leadership, national development and the strategic role of Nigeria’s creative economy.
The proposal, signed by the Chairman of the Organising Committee, Zack Orji, and the National President, Sanusi Abubakar Yakub, was issued on behalf of the Board of Trustees, National Executive Committee and entire membership of the AGN.
The Guild described the proposed event as a distinguished platform for bringing together thought leaders, public office holders, security sector representatives, business executives and creative industry stakeholders to discuss leadership, national development and the contribution of the creative economy.
According to the proposal, the biennial lecture and patrons’ investiture are designed to recognise distinguished individuals whose leadership, service and accomplishments have contributed meaningfully to society.
The AGN, which represents Nollywood actors and promotes the interests of practitioners within Nigeria’s film and entertainment industry, said its responsibilities extend beyond professional standards and members’ welfare to supporting the creative economy as a driver of national development, cultural diplomacy, employment generation and economic growth.
Under the proposed partnership, Razor Newspaper is expected to provide publicity and event promotion through news reports, features, interviews and other editorial platforms before, during and after the occasion.
The newspaper is also being invited to recommend distinguished and accomplished personalities from the security, political, business and other relevant sectors for consideration as patrons and award recipients.
Other areas of collaboration include comprehensive editorial coverage of the event, reporting on key presentations and investiture proceedings, as well as disseminating the outcomes, messages and recognitions to a wider audience.
In recognition of the newspaper’s proposed contribution, the Guild outlined a package of benefits, including prominent display of Razor Newspaper’s corporate logo on designated promotional materials as an official media partner.
The newspaper is also expected to receive a full-page corporate advertisement in the event magazine, alongside logo placement on the event backdrop and red-carpet interview banner.
The proposal further includes the presentation of an Excellence Award to Razor Newspaper in recognition of its contribution to media development and public communication.
The Guild said the partnership would also provide the newspaper with visibility and association with a high-level gathering of stakeholders from the creative industry, government, security, politics and business.
Explaining the importance of the collaboration, the AGN said Razor Newspaper was considered a valuable prospective partner in extending the initiative’s reach beyond the event venue and stimulating wider public engagement.
It noted that the newspaper’s platform could help promote discussions on leadership, institutional responsibility, enterprise and the role of the creative economy in Nigeria’s development.
The Guild expressed confidence that the proposed partnership would be mutually beneficial and contribute to making the 2026 Biennial National Leadership Lecture and Patrons’ Investiture a memorable and impactful occasion.
It urged the newspaper to consider the proposal favourably, adding that further information and clarification could be obtained through the contact numbers provided in the letter.
The proposal concluded with the AGN expressing its readiness to work with Razor Newspaper towards the successful delivery of the event.
