The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the composition of committees for the conduct of its Ward, Local Government Area (LGA), and State Congresses in Adamawa State and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), as part of preparations for upcoming party activities.
The committees, released through the party’s official communication channels, include the Ward/LGA Aspirants Screening Committees, Screening Appeals Committees, State Congress Committees, and Congress Appeal Committees, aimed at ensuring a transparent and orderly process.
The development follows the earlier release of the party’s timetable and schedule of activities for the congresses, which outlines the sequence of ward, local government, and state-level exercises in the affected areas.
Party officials said the committees are made up ofkey stakeholders and experienced members tasked with overseeing screening, handling appeals, and coordinating the conduct of congresses in line with APC guidelines and constitution.
The APC said the move is part of broader efforts to strengthen internal democracy and ensure credible congresses, adding that members of the committees are expected to discharge their responsibilities with diligence and fairness.
