As Nigeria marked the 2026 Children’s Day celebration amid growing conversations around youth development, discipline and quality education, the Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Bode Ojajuni, has described children as the nation’s future leaders whose moral upbringing and educational advancement remain critical to national development.
CP Bode Ojajuni made the remarks while receiving the Commandant of Police Secondary School, Sagamu, CSP Nanloh Rindap, alongside the school’s management team and students, during a courtesy visit to the Command Headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta, as part of activities commemorating Children’s Day.

Speaking during the engagement, CSP Nanloh Rindap commended the Commissioner of Police for what he described as exemplary leadership, professionalism and unwavering commitment to the welfare, discipline and development of officers, personnel and members of the Police community.
He noted that Police Secondary School, Sagamu, had continued to benefit from the support of the Ogun State Police Command, particularly in the areas of discipline, moral instruction and educational development.

Also speaking on behalf of the students, Miss Oluwadarasimi Adeyemo appreciated CP Bode Ojajuni and the management team of the Ogun State Police Command for their continued encouragement and support toward students of the institution.
She further applauded the Command for promoting discipline, academic excellence and positive character development among young people.

In his remarks, CP Bode Ojajuni congratulated children across Ogun State and Nigeria on the occasion of the 2026 Children’s Day celebration, stressing that children remain the leaders of tomorrow whose proper upbringing and guidance are essential for sustainable national growth.
The police commissioner urged the students to remain disciplined, focused on their academic pursuits and respectful to constituted authority, while embracing values that promote peace, unity, patriotism and integrity.
According to him, Nigerian children possess the capacity to become responsible leaders capable of shaping the future of the country positively through hard work, determination and proper guidance.

CP Ojajuni also reassured children, parents and residents of the Ogun State Police Command’s commitment to ensuring a safe and conducive environment where children can learn, grow and pursue their aspirations without fear or intimidation.
Members of the Command’s management team also commended the leadership of Police Secondary School, Sagamu, for sustaining academic excellence, discipline and moral instruction, while encouraging the students to remain law-abiding and committed to becoming responsible citizens.
The Commissioner further reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to supporting programmes and initiatives that promote youth development, educational advancement and institutional growth within the Police community and the wider society.
