Personnel of Forward Operating Base (FOB) FORMOSO temporarily set aside the rigours of military routine for moments of celebration and relaxation as the base hosted a colourful Sallah party for officers, ratings and civilian staff in Bayelsa State.
The event, held Wednesday brought together the Commanding Officer of the base, SK Haruna, alongside officers, ratings and civilian employees in an atmosphere defined by unity, camaraderie and shared celebration.

The gathering underscored the importance of togetherness, mutual understanding and the sustenance of strong interpersonal and professional relationships within the base.
A major highlight of the celebration was the rare opportunity it provided for relaxed interaction between the Commanding Officer and personnel outside the formal military environment.

In a setting far removed from the usual parade ground routine, officers and ratings freely interacted, shared meals, exchanged pleasantries and celebrated together as part of efforts aimed at strengthening unity and esprit de corps within the formation.
The celebration featured an array of food and drinks, music and moments of laughter as personnel fully embraced the festive spirit of Sallah alongside activities marking the 70th Anniversary Celebration of the Nigerian Navy.

At the end of the gathering, personnel departed in high spirits, expressing appreciation for what many described as a memorable Sallah celebration characterised by happiness, unity and togetherness.
