The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has officially decorated Olohundare Jimoh with his new rank of Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) at a ceremony held in Abuja.
The decoration, which took place at the Force Headquarters, marks a significant milestone in Jimoh’s policing career, recognizing his years of dedicated service, professionalism, and contributions to law enforcement in Nigeria.

In his remarks, Egbetokun commended the newly promoted AIG for his commitment to duty and adherence to the core values of the Nigeria Police Force.
He charged him to bring his wealth of experience to bear in his new role, particularly in strengthening internal security and enhancing public trust in policing.

Jimoh, who recently served as Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, expressed gratitude to the IGP and the Police Service Commission for the confidence reposed in him.
He pledged to justify the promotion by redoubling his efforts in crime prevention and maintaining law and order.

The ceremony was attended by senior police officers, family members, and well-wishers, who gathered to celebrate the elevation of the seasoned officer.
Jimoh’s promotion is part of ongoing efforts by the Police leadership to reposition the Force through merit-based advancement and strategic deployment of experienced personnel.
