The Mining Marshals have praised the Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dr Henry Dele Alake, for what they described as a renewed push to reposition Nigeria’s mining sector, as they marked his birthday with a message of commendation.
In a goodwill message signed by the Commander of the Mining Marshals, ACC Attah John Onoja, the group described Alake as a visionary leader whose approach to the sector has strengthened the government’s efforts to protect the country’s mineral resources and promote responsible mining.
The Marshals said the minister had shown courage and commitment in pursuing reforms aimed at tackling illegal mining, improving regulatory compliance and creating an environment where legitimate mining operators could thrive.

They also credited his leadership with bringing greater attention to the economic potential of Nigeria’s solid minerals, particularly as the country seeks to diversify its economy and reduce dependence on oil.
According to the group, sustained reforms in the sector are critical to attracting investors, creating jobs and ensuring that Nigeria derives greater value from its vast mineral resources.
The Mining Marshals further commended Alake for promoting transparency and accountability in the sector, saying these principles were essential to building public confidence and developing a mining industry capable of contributing meaningfully to national development.
While celebrating the minister’s new age, the group wished him good health, wisdom and renewed strength to continue his work in the service of the country.

Onoja also prayed for many more years of impactful leadership and success for the minister, describing his continued contribution to the development of Nigeria’s mining industry as important to the country’s economic future.
