The bitter lies that paralysed us for four years
Are foisted yet on us, though we tried hard to foil,
Because of professors who sneaked into our rock,
Who professed lies for livelihood at conscience’s cost.
From our markets to our Umpire’s were lies blatant.
They roll out red carpets and treat their kine to presidential banquets,

While our youth roam and languish on the streets.
Yet they wear their lies on their arms like bracelets,
Mining up common water in search of far-fetched oil:
Giving the children’s meat to dogs, which ricks,
And festooning the entire land with lies and briers.
Shouldn’t the young generation plant myrtle trees instead of more briers?
