The Honourable Minister of Defence, General Christopher Gwabin Musa (Rtd.) OFR, has declared that Nigeria’s security and national outlook are steadily improving under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, stressing that the President remains unwavering in his commitment to securing the country and driving national development.
General Musa made the remarks in Abuja on Thursday while speaking with journalists shortly after the commissioning of the annex branch of Haam Legal Consult Services.
The Minister said the administration of President Tinubu has continued to provide critical support to the Armed Forces of Nigeria, a move he noted has significantly strengthened military operations against insecurity across the country. He added that the Nigerian military is collaborating with American counterparts and other peace-loving nations to confront emerging security threats.

According to him, the Armed Forces remain resolute in safeguarding lives and property, assuring Nigerians that security agencies are working tirelessly to restore peace nationwide.
General Musa, however, stressed that defeating insecurity requires collective national effort, urging citizens to support security agencies by remaining vigilant and reporting suspicious activities.
He warned against aiding criminal elements, noting that insecurity persists in some communities because certain individuals continue to shield and support criminals.
“If all Nigerians decide today that there will be no more support for criminals, I can assure you that within one month, these security challenges would largely become things of the past,” he stated.
Speaking further on governance and democracy, the Minister called for credible and visionary leadership, insisting that Nigeria’s progress depends largely on leaders genuinely committed to national development.
“We do not need criminal-minded individuals in leadership positions. We need leaders who genuinely have passion for this country and are committed to making the necessary changes Nigeria desires,” he said, adding that purposeful leadership remains the key to transforming the nation.
General Musa also urged Nigerians to participate actively in politics and support leaders committed to nation-building rather than engaging in ethnic, religious or sentimental politics. He cautioned against vote-selling and compromising the future of the country for personal interests.

On the newly commissioned Haam Legal Consult Services annex branch, the Minister commended the Principal Partner of the firm and Special Assistant to the Honourable Minister of Defence, Barrister Aliyu Anas, for contributing to humanity through legal practice.
He underscored the importance of law, justice and human rights in nation-building, saying no society or business environment can thrive without respect for the rule of law.
“A community that is respected is a community that obeys the law and respects the rights of others,” the Minister stated.
Earlier, the Head of Chambers, Barrister Abdulsalam Ibrahim, appreciated the Honourable Minister of Defence and his entourage for attending the event, pledging that the firm would continue to uphold fairness and justice in line with the ethics of the legal profession.
He disclosed that the firm offers services in land and property agreements, legal advisory, legal drafting, election matters, property management, contract reviews, real estate, Corporate Affairs Commission registration and related legal services.
