The President also acknowledged Adeniyi’s role in mobilising Customs administrations and stakeholders for the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area through the C-PACT platform.
Tinubu noted that the integration of the Authorized Economic Operator Programme has improved port efficiency, revenue performance and engagement with traders.
He further commended the adoption of the WCO SAFE Framework of Standards, aimed at securing and facilitating global trade.
The President said automation, digitisation, training of officers and the adoption of global best practices have improved Customs operations.
Tinubu added that these reforms have strengthened border security, improved community relations and ensured steady revenue growth.
He prayed for continued strength, good health and wisdom for Adeniyi as he continues to serve the nation.
