Troops of the Joint Task Force (North East), Operation HADIN KAI, have neutralised 15 terrorists in a precision air strike north-west of Pulka, Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State, as the military sustains its offensive against insurgents in the North-East.
The operation, conducted at about 11:50 p.m. on October 23, 2026, followed credible intelligence and confirmed sightings of terrorist movements in the general area, with ground troops subsequently deployed to exploit the strike and consolidate operational gains.
According to Captain Mohammed Goni, Acting Military Information Officer, Headquarters Joint Task Force (North East), Operation HADIN KAI, the successful engagement underscores the effectiveness of intelligence-driven targeting and coordinated military action in disrupting terrorist activities.
Goni, in a statement issued on Saturday in Maiduguri, said the operation reflected the Theatre Command’s sustained determination to deny terrorist groups freedom of action and prevent them from threatening communities across the operational theatre.

He explained that the precision strike was followed by ground operations aimed at exploiting the area and consolidating the gains recorded during the engagement.
The operation, he said, formed part of the sustained offensive posture of troops, supported by intelligence gathering and the coordinated deployment of available military capabilities.
According to him, the Theatre Command would continue to maintain pressure on terrorist elements, disrupt their activities and strengthen the security environment across the North-East.
Goni reaffirmed Operation HADIN KAI’s commitment to defeating terrorism and insurgency, protecting law-abiding citizens and creating conditions necessary for the restoration of normalcy and socio-economic activities in affected communities.
He assured residents that troops would sustain the momentum of ongoing operations with vigilance, determination and professionalism.

The military information officer also urged members of the public to continue cooperating with security agencies by providing timely and credible information on suspicious movements and activities.
He stressed that sustained collaboration between the military and civilian population remained essential to consolidating operational gains and achieving lasting peace and security across the North-East.
