Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have arrested five suspected kidnappers and recovered arms during a coordinated intelligence-led operation in Jegalari Village, Fune Local Government Area of Yobe State.
The operation, carried out by troops of the 233 Battalion under Sector 2 of Operation HADIN KAI in collaboration with the Yobe State Hunters Group, followed credible intelligence on the activities of the suspected criminal gang.

Acting Military Information Officer of Headquarters Joint Task Force (North East) Operation HADIN KAI, Captain Mohammed Goni, disclosed on Friday that the raid resulted in the recovery of three locally fabricated AK-47 rifles, one locally made pistol, assorted ammunition and four mobile phones believed to be linked to the suspects’ operations.

He said the five suspects have been taken into military custody, while the recovered weapons and other exhibits are being retained as investigations continue to determine their involvement in kidnapping and related crimes.

Goni said Operation HADIN KAI remains unwavering in its determination to deny terrorists and other criminal elements freedom of action across the North-East through sustained intelligence-driven operations.
He appealed to residents to support security agencies by remaining vigilant and reporting suspicious persons or activities promptly, noting that credible information from members of the public remains critical to improving security and protecting communities across the region.
