Troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA have foiled a bandit attack in Maraban Rido area of Kaduna State.
The security operation followed intelligence reports on criminal activities in Anguwan Fulan village.
A distress call received late on January 22, 2026, alerted troops to the presence of armed bandits.
Personnel of 1 Division were immediately deployed to contain the situation.
The soldiers conducted a snap ambush and engaged the fleeing criminals.
The attackers were forced to withdraw in disarray, sustaining gunshot injuries.
Troops extended the operation into surrounding forests, including Kankomi Forest.
Another contact was made near Anguwan Sarki, resulting in the neutralisation of one suspect.
The military reiterated its resolve to protect lives and property across the region.
