The Publisher of Aiyekooto Reporters, Prince Tunde Aiyekooto, has been honoured at the 2026 Nigeria’s Silent Heroes Awards in Abuja in recognition of what the organisers described as his contributions to journalism, public advocacy and community development.
Aiyekooto received the award on June 27 during the Nigeria’s Silent Heroes Awards ceremony, where he was recognised with the title, “The Voice to the Voiceless.”
According to the organisers, the award recognises individuals whose contributions have made significant impacts on communities and society despite often working away from the spotlight.
The organisers said Aiyekooto was honoured for his commitment to promoting truth, justice, fairness and amplifying the concerns of ordinary citizens through his media platform and humanitarian activities.
They noted that his advocacy for marginalised communities and social justice had earned him recognition across different sectors.
The organisers further stated that the award reflects the philosophy of the Nigeria’s Silent Heroes Awards, which celebrates individuals who quietly make meaningful contributions to national development and the well-being of others.
They also acknowledged Aiyekooto’s role as the Grand Patron of the Kajola Community Development Association, Eyita, citing his support for community development, grassroots empowerment and unity.
The organisers described the event as a celebration of excellence, service and dedication to humanity, adding that recognising outstanding individuals would encourage greater commitment to nation-building and community service.
Friends, associates and well-wishers congratulated Aiyekooto on the recognition and wished him continued success in his public service and advocacy efforts.
