The Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Bode Ojajuni, has praised the Police Officers’ Wives Association (POWA), Ogun State Chapter, for its contributions to the welfare and emotional well-being of police personnel and their families, describing the association as a critical support structure for officers engaged in demanding duties.
CP Ojajuni made the remarks while receiving members of the association, led by its Acting Chairperson, Mrs. Bolanle Adeoye, during a courtesy visit to the Command Headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta.

The police commissioner said POWA had continued to play a significant role in sustaining the morale of officers by promoting family stability, welfare support and social cohesion within the police community.
He noted that the association’s activities complement the efforts of the Ogun State Police Command in building a resilient, motivated and effective workforce capable of delivering on its policing mandate.

Ojajuni further commended POWA for its contributions to community development and welfare initiatives, stressing that such interventions remain essential to strengthening internal cohesion and enhancing operational effectiveness across the command.
The commissioner reaffirmed the command’s commitment to maintaining a strong partnership with the association and urged it to sustain programmes aimed at promoting unity, empowerment and welfare enhancement among police families.

He also assured that the command would continue to prioritise the welfare of officers and deepen engagement with relevant stakeholders to improve service delivery and overall performance.
Earlier, the Acting Chairperson of POWA, Mrs. Bolanle Adeoye, commended CP Ojajuni for what she described as his exemplary leadership, professionalism and dedication to the welfare of officers and their families.

She said the association remained committed to strengthening family support systems, fostering unity and supporting the efforts of the Nigeria Police Force in improving the well-being of personnel.
Adeoye also lauded the commissioner for creating an enabling environment that promotes discipline, stability and effective policing, while assuring him of the association’s continued collaboration with the command on welfare-oriented programmes.

Members of the command’s management team who attended the engagement also applauded POWA for its consistent support and encouraged the association to sustain its efforts in promoting family stability, welfare advancement and positive values within the police community.
