ASABA – Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has announced a minor cabinet reshuffle affecting four commissioners within his administration to optimize performance and enhance service delivery.
The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr. Kingsley Eze Emu, confirmed the changes in a statement issued on Wednesday, noting that the redeployments take immediate effect.
The reshuffle involves the strategic movement of officials across key ministries:
- Engr. Michael Ifeanyi Anoka: Redeployed from the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Renewal to the Ministry of Energy.
- Hon. Sunday Tataobuzogwu: Moved from the Ministry of Energy to the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Renewal.
- Mrs. Rose Ezewu: Transferred from the Ministry of Secondary Education to the Ministry of Primary Education.
- Dr. Kingsley Ashibuogwu: Shifted from the Ministry of Primary Education to the Ministry of Secondary Education.
Dr. Emu explained that these adjustments are part of the Governor’s commitment to enhancing efficiency and ensuring that each ministry achieves its core objectives under the M.O.R.E agenda.
In a separate development, Governor Oborevwori has approved the nomination of three prominent individuals to the Governing Council of the Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka.
The nominees include:
- Rt. Hon. Festus Ovie Agas
- Rt. Hon. Frank Enekorogha
- Charles Ajuyah (SAN), a distinguished legal luminary.
The SSG noted that the inauguration date for the new Governing Council members will be announced in due course. The nominations are expected to bring a wealth of administrative and legal expertise to the university’s leadership as it continues to pursue academic excellence.
