ASABA – Business mogul and Chairman of the Cubana Group, Chief Obinna Iyiegbu (widely known as Obi Cubana), has commended Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for his “God-fearing and development-driven” leadership style.
Speaking during a high-profile visit to the Government House in Asaba, Iyiegbu expressed strong confidence in the state’s current trajectory, declaring that Delta is “in very good hands” under Oborevwori’s administration. He was accompanied by Pastor Jerry Eze, Founder of Streams of Joy International, who visited to dedicate the ambitious Cubana Millennium City project.
Obi Cubana highlighted the productive synergy between the state government and private investors. Following the meeting, he took to social media to praise the Governor’s accessibility and vision.
“When the righteous is on the throne, the state rejoices! Delta State is indeed blessed to have a God-fearing and development-oriented Governor,” Iyiegbu shared. He thanked the Governor for maintaining an open-door policy, adding, “We are bringing magic to Delta State.”

The centerpiece of the visit was the progress report on the Cubana Millennium City Asaba. Described by Iyiegbu as the “Jewel on the Niger,” the project is envisioned as a premium mixed-use urban hub.
The Cubana Group Chairman reaffirmed his commitment to the project’s timeline, providing assurance to prospective homeowners and investors that the first phase will be ready for occupation by December 2026.
This landmark development is expected to significantly boost Asaba’s status as a premier investment destination, directly supporting the Governor’s M.O.R.E Agenda for economic growth and improved living standards for all Deltans.
