The Nigeria Police Force, Zone 2 Command Headquarters, Lagos, on Friday strengthened its international security cooperation drive as the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Zone, AIG Olohundare Moshood Jimoh, hosted a high-powered delegation from the Shandong Provincial Public Security Department of the People’s Republic of China on an official working visit in Lagos.
The delegation, led by the Deputy Director in charge of Daily Operations at the Shandong Provincial Public Security Department, Mr. Zhang Yuebo, was received alongside members of the Zone 2 management team and senior police officers at the Command Headquarters in Onikan, Lagos.

The visit, according to the Command, is part of sustained efforts to deepen international police collaboration, strengthen bilateral relations, and expand strategic partnerships in intelligence sharing, security management, and capacity building.
Speaking during the visit, Mr. Zhang Yuebo commended the warm reception accorded his delegation and reaffirmed the commitment of the Shandong Provincial Public Security Department to sustained collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force. He stressed the importance of international partnerships in combating transnational crimes, enhancing intelligence sharing, and improving capacity building initiatives.

In his remarks, AIG Olohundare Moshood Jimoh described the visit as a significant step toward consolidating the longstanding relationship between the Nigeria Police Force, Zone 2 Headquarters, and the Shandong Provincial Public Security Department, a partnership he said has existed since 2019.
The AIG noted that the collaboration would further strengthen joint efforts in transnational crime prevention, cybercrime prevention, counter-terrorism strategies, and tackling emerging security threats.

He also conveyed the goodwill message of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, to the visiting delegation, while reaffirming the commitment of Zone 2 Headquarters to modern policing strategies anchored on professionalism, intelligence-driven policing, technological innovation, community partnership, respect for human rights, and international cooperation.
AIG Olohundare Moshood Jimoh further appreciated the Shandong Provincial Public Security Department for supporting the training of officers serving in Zone 2 Headquarters, which covers Lagos and Ogun State Police Commands. According to him, the training programmes have greatly enhanced the operational efficiency and professionalism of officers in the discharge of their duties.

The meeting also featured strategic discussions on modern policing techniques, global best practices, and future areas of cooperation between both law enforcement institutions.
