The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations has honoured the Police Public Relations Officer of the Anambra State Police Command, SP Ikenga Tochukwu, with its Life Reputation Award.

The award was presented during a ceremony held on Friday at the International Conference Centre in Awka, Anambra State.
Among dignitaries present at the event were the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo; the Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Alfred Nnaemeka Achebe; industrialist Chief Cletus Ibeto; and former Minister of Aviation, Osita Chidoka.

According to the institute, the award recognises individuals who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to professionalism, integrity and excellence in public communication and reputation management.

The institute commended the police spokesperson for strengthening strategic communication within the Anambra State Police Command through proactive engagement with the media and improved information management.

It added that his efforts have contributed to improved transparency and enhanced police-community relations in the state.
Dignitaries at the event also urged the award recipients to sustain their commitment to professionalism, integrity and service to society.
