The NPF Pensions Ltd. has onboarded nearly 100,000 police officers on its WhatsApp-for-Business platform as part of efforts to take pension services directly to contributors and improve customer experience.
Acting Managing Director of NPF Pensions, Muhammad Dutse, disclosed this in Abuja on Monday during the 2026 Customer Service Week, saying the initiative had made pension services more accessible to police officers nationwide.
Dutse said customer satisfaction remained central to the company’s operations, stressing that contributors were the reason for its existence.

According to him, police officers could access several pension-related services through the WhatsApp platform without visiting NPF Pensions offices physically.
He said the number of officers using the platform was increasing daily as the company intensified efforts to bring its services closer to customers.
Dutse also disclosed that the pension administrator had adopted direct engagement with contributors, with senior officials assigned to maintain regular communication with customers.

“Each and every one of us has become a relationship manager,” he said.
He explained that the approach had enabled the company to identify complaints more quickly and improve its response to customers’ needs.
The acting managing director said the Customer Service Week would also be used to educate contributors on developments and opportunities in the pension industry.

He specifically cited the 25 per cent Retirement Savings Account equity contribution for home ownership among initiatives from which eligible customers could benefit.
Dutse said customers would also receive information on new guidelines and opportunities under the evolving voluntary pension scheme.

He said NPF Pensions would continue to strengthen its relationship with contributors through sensitisation, education and improved communication.

Dutse also urged the media to sustain its partnership with the pension administrator in educating Nigerians about developments in the pension sector.

“The media remains important in communicating pension reforms and ensuring that customers understand available opportunities,” he said.

“NPF Pensions will continue to explore innovative ways of improving service delivery and enhancing customer experience,” he added.
