A Delta State House of Assembly hopeful, Hon. Chiedu Jude Nwaghodoh, has unveiled an ambitious people-centred agenda for Aniocha North Constituency, promising to drive youth empowerment, quality education, and sustainable infrastructure if elected.
Nwaghodoh, in a detailed statement outlining his vision and mission, said his aspiration is anchored on “renewing the hope of the common man” through strategic human capital development and policies that directly impact communities.
The Aniocha North native pledged alignment with the M.O.R.E Agenda of the Delta State Government, while stressing the need to restore grassroots democracy and ensure governance translates into tangible benefits such as jobs, improved schools, road networks, and enhanced living standards.
Born in Onicha-Ugbo, Nwaghodoh’s academic and professional journey reflects a strong commitment to education and leadership. He attended Ifeyinwa Primary School and St. Pius Xth Grammar School, both in Onicha-Ugbo, before proceeding to Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku, where he obtained a Higher National Diploma in Business Administration. He also earned a Bachelor’s degree in the same field from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.
Further demonstrating his academic depth, he obtained a Postgraduate Diploma, Master’s degree, and Ph.D. in Business Administration with specialization in Human Resource Management from Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Anambra State.
His foray into public service began with youth leadership, serving as President of the Onicha-Ugbo Youth Association between 2017 and 2021. His tenure earned him recognition, including his appointment as a Community Peace Ambassador by former Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa.
In 2021, he was elected Councillor representing Ward 2 in Aniocha North Local Government Area, where he chaired the House Committee on Finance and Appropriation. During his tenure, he was noted for advocating fiscal transparency and prioritising youth-focused initiatives in budget allocations.
Beyond public office, Nwaghodoh is an entrepreneur and Managing Director of Divine Walkways Enterprises. He has also built a reputation for youth empowerment, having facilitated over 48 job placements for young people in federal and state institutions, as well as in the banking sector.
Articulating his leadership philosophy, the assembly hopeful emphasised youth inclusiveness, sustainable development, and accessible representation, noting that governance must be felt in everyday life across communities.
He argued that Aniocha North requires a legislator with a blend of academic insight, grassroots connection, and proven delivery record, insisting that his candidacy represents a shift from “politics as usual” to purposeful leadership.
Nwaghodoh called on constituents to support his bid, assuring that his administration would focus on building a future where opportunities are expanded and no segment of society is left behind.
