The Ogun State Police Command has dismissed reports alleging the imposition of a curfew or restriction of movement across the state, describing the claims as false and misleading.
In a statement issued on Saturday, by DSP Oluseyi B. Babaseyi, Police Public Relations Officer, said the security situation in Ogun State remains peaceful and under control, assuring residents that there is no cause for panic.
The Command, under the leadership of CP Bode Ojajuni, psc, FCSS, MNIPR, stated that adequate deployment of personnel and operational assets had been strategically positioned across the state to maintain law and order as well as protect lives and property.

The police urged residents to disregard unverified reports capable of creating unnecessary fear and tension, stressing that citizens should continue their lawful activities without apprehension.
According to the statement, members of the public are also encouraged to remain vigilant and report suspicious movements or security concerns through the Command’s emergency lines, including the Gateway Shield toll-free complaints line.
The Command reiterated the Command’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of residents across the state.
