For 45-year-old Vivian Okwueshi, every new day is a fight for survival not only for herself but also for the child who depends on her.
The single mother has spent the past year courageously battling breast cancer, enduring the physical and emotional toll of the disease while holding on to hope that she will live to watch her child grow.

With the support of compassionate friends and well-wishers, Vivian was able to complete eight sessions of chemotherapy, a difficult but necessary stage in her treatment. Now, doctors have scheduled a crucial surgery to remove the affected breast a procedure considered vital in her fight against the illness.
However, as the surgery date draws near, Vivian says she is struggling to raise the funds needed to cover the operation and hospital care.

Narrating her ordeal, she said the journey since her diagnosis has been overwhelming but filled with moments of kindness from people who stepped in to support her treatment.
“My name is Vivian Okwueshi. I am a 45-year-old single mother of one. Since last year, I have been battling breast cancer. With the help of kind friends, I was able to complete eight sessions of chemotherapy, and I am deeply grateful for every support I received,” she said.
According to her, the next stage of treatment the surgery is urgent and necessary, but the financial burden has become difficult for her to bear alone.
“My doctors have scheduled a surgery to remove the affected breast, and the date is very close.
Unfortunately, I am struggling to raise the funds needed for the surgery and hospital care,” she explained.
Faced with the weight of the medical bills and the uncertainty of the coming days, Vivian is now appealing to members of the public for help.
She said any form of support, no matter how small, would go a long way in helping her undergo the life-saving procedure and continue caring for her child.
“I humbly appeal to anyone who can support me in any way. No amount is too small, and every help will mean so much to me and my child during this difficult time,” she added.
