The Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Bode Ojajuni, has reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to strengthening collaboration with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in the fight against drug abuse and trafficking.
Ojajuni made this known during a familiarization visit to the NDLEA Ogun State Command, where he was received by the State Commander, Commander Tijani Rabe, in Abeokuta.
The visit highlighted the importance of sustained inter agency synergy, particularly in the areas of intelligence sharing, joint operations, and coordinated public sensitization, as both agencies intensify efforts to curb substance abuse and its associated crimes.

The Police Commissioner noted that effective collaboration among law enforcement agencies is vital in addressing the growing challenges posed by illicit drugs, which often contribute to criminal activities in society.
In recognition of his commitment to combating drug related offences, CP Ojajuni was decorated with the War Against Drug Abuse (WADA) Ambassadorial Tag by the NDLEA, signifying his role as an advocate for a drug free society.

Responding, Ojajuni appreciated the NDLEA for the honour and reaffirmed the Command’s resolve to deepen inter agency cooperation in tackling substance abuse and enhancing public safety across Ogun State.

The visit underscores renewed efforts by both agencies to work closely in addressing the menace of drug abuse and its far reaching impact on communities.
