The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Police Trust Fund (NPTF) has pledged the Fund’s commitment to aligning its interventions with the newly introduced Nigerian Police Regulations, 2025, to enhance professionalism and operational efficiency in the Force.
Speaking on Wednesday in Abuja at the official handover of the regulations, the NPTF boss described the development as a major milestone in repositioning the Nigeria Police Force.

He said the regulations would provide clarity, reinforce discipline, and establish standards necessary for a modern and accountable police institution.
“These Regulations provide more than guidance—they establish clarity. They define standards, reinforce discipline, and create a framework that supports consistency across the Force,” he said.
The Executive Secretary noted that the NPTF had made significant interventions in training, infrastructure, and operational support in recent years, impacting thousands of officers nationwide.
He added that the new regulations would enable the Fund to better align its investments with national policing standards.
According to him, the Fund will focus on strengthening training institutions, upgrading infrastructure, and improving officers’ welfare.

“It ensures that investments… are delivered in line with a unified national framework,” he added.
He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Ministry of Police Affairs for driving police reforms and reaffirmed the Fund’s commitment to supporting implementation of the regulations.
