Samuel Aondoakura Akume, son of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, on Saturday married Deborah Ershima, daughter of Engineer Msula Atoga, in a modest ceremony held in Makurdi, the Benue State capital.
Vice President Kashim Shettima attended the wedding reception as representative of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. On arrival, he was received by the SGF and the Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, alongside a small gathering of family members and public officials.
Despite its private tone, the ceremony attracted a select number of dignitaries. Among those present was the groom’s mother, Chief Mrs. Hanmo Dajor, a former wife of Senator Akume.
The wedding comes shortly after the SGF’s recent marriage to Queen Zaynab Otiti Obanor (Ngohemba), as well as the cultural activities that marked her homecoming to Gboko, underscoring a period of notable personal milestones within the Akume family
