The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, on Thursday stormed the Nigerian Air Force Headquarters in Abuja on a condolence visit to the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, following the tragic crash of NAF 931 aircraft.
The crash, which claimed 25 lives, has thrown the entire Armed Forces into mourning.
IGP Disu, who led senior officers of the Force, said the Nigeria Police Force was deeply pained by the loss, describing it as a national tragedy.

He conveyed the condolences of the entire Police family to the leadership of the Air Force, officers and men of the NAF, and the families of the deceased officers.
According to him, the Police stands in solidarity with the Air Force at this difficult time.

“We honour the service and sacrifice of those who lost their lives. May God grant their families and colleagues the strength to bear this huge loss,” the IGP said.
