Transcorp Hilton Abuja has clarified circumstances surrounding a recent temporary disruption in water supply at the facility, describing reports suggesting prolonged outage as false and misleading.
In a statement signed by the General Manager Martin Zarybnicky, the hotel management confirmed that the disruption lasted for only one day and was caused by emergency maintenance works carried out by the Federal Capital Territory Water Board (FCTWB).
The management explained that the maintenance commenced on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, and affected water supply to the hotel within that period.
According to the statement, the hotel immediately activated contingency measures to ensure that guests continued to enjoy uninterrupted services despite the temporary challenge.
It noted that the proactive steps taken by management ensured that water availability was sustained across the facility, with no disruption to guest comfort or hotel operations.
The statement further clarified that normal water supply was fully restored on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, contrary to reports circulating on social media suggesting otherwise.
“Contrary to false and misleading social media reports, water supply was fully restored on Wednesday, April 15, 2026,” the statement read.
The management added that since the restoration, the hotel has maintained consistent water supply and continues to operate at full capacity across all its outlets.

It reassured guests and stakeholders of its commitment to maintaining high standards of service delivery and hospitality.
“We appreciate the understanding and support of our guests and stakeholders. Transcorp Hilton Abuja remains committed to delivering the highest standards of hospitality and guest experience,” the statement added.
