The Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN) have recorded major operational successes across the country, neutralising scores of terrorists, rescuing kidnapped victims, and arresting criminal elements within a four-day period.
The operations, carried out between March 30 and April 2, 2026, cut across multiple theatres of operation nationwide.
This was disclosed in a statement by the Director, Defence Media Operations, Major General Michael Onoja.
Onoja said the operations were conducted under the strategic direction of the Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Olatunbosun Oluyede.
He stated that troops sustained offensive actions against террорист groups and criminal networks across the North East, North West, North Central, South-South, and South East regions.
According to him, troops of Operation HADIN KAI in the North East ambushed terrorists in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State.
He said troops also rescued civilians abducted along the Buratai–Kamuya Road after pursuing the insurgents.
Onoja added that eight terrorists were neutralised in Bama axis, while suspected collaborators and arms couriers were arrested in Adamawa and Bauchi states.
He disclosed that in the North West, troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA rescued kidnapped victims and destroyed террорист hideouts in Zamfara and Katsina states.
According to him, several террористs were neutralised, while weapons and motorcycles were recovered during the operations.
Onoja further said troops of Operation SAVANNAH SHIELD foiled kidnapping attempts in Kwara State and arrested suspected criminals.
He noted that troops of Operation ENDURING PEACE arrested suspects linked to killings in Plateau State and rescued kidnapped victims.
In the South-South, he said troops uncovered illegal oil refining sites and intercepted stolen crude oil in Rivers and Akwa Ibom states.
Onoja added that troops of Operation UDO KA arrested suspected IPOB/ESN members, including logistics and medical support operatives.
He said over 20 suspects were arrested across all theatres, including terrorists, collaborators, and economic saboteurs.
The defence spokesman said the Chief of Defence Staff commended troops for their professionalism and urged them to remain vigilant.
He also called on Nigerians to support the military with credible intelligence to enhance operations.
