Hon. Faith Okolo Onyinye has said her political engagement is driven by the desire to see a Nigeria governed by merit, discipline and fairness.
Onyinye said this while declaring her support for the African Democratic Congress as a platform for national transformation.
“I believe in a better Nigeria where a nobody can become a somebody, not through connections or godfatherism, but through merit, discipline, and clear criteria,” she said.
She described herself as resilient, noting that personal growth often comes through difficult experiences.
“I am unstoppable, no matter the challenges. I have made mistakes, learned from them, made better choices, and I am still standing strong for what I believe in,” Onyinye stated.
She said her political outlook has evolved over time.
According to her, lasting change cannot be achieved by remaining outside the decision-making space.
“Real change cannot be made from the outside. To make a difference, one must be part of the system where decisions are made,” she said.
Onyinye explained that this belief led her to identify with the ADC.
“That is why I stand with ADC—the better alternative,” she said.
She pledged to work towards the party’s success at all tiers of government.
“I will work tirelessly to ensure that ADC emerges as the ruling party and produces people-centered decision-makers,” Onyinye stated.
She stressed that leadership must be responsive to citizens’ needs.
According to her, the ADC coalition offers hope for a redefined political culture.
“I firmly believe that a New Nigeria is possible with the ADC coalition,” Onyinye concluded
