LAGOS – The Lagos State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has extended its congratulations to the National Public Relations Officer of the Corps, Babawale Afolabi Zaid, following his recent promotion to the rank of Assistant Commandant of Corps (ACC).
In a congratulatory message released on Friday, the Lagos State Command Public Relations Officer, Superintendent of Corps Olusola Odumosu Abolurin, described the promotion as a well-deserved recognition of ACC Zaid’s dedication, professionalism, and exceptional contributions to the Corps’ communication strategies.

The decoration ceremony was held on Thursday, January 8, at the Ade Abolurin Hall. Abolurin noted that the elevation marks a proud moment for the entire Service, highlighting ACC Zaid’s reputation as a prolific communicator and a dependable mouthpiece for the NSCDC.
He commended the National PRO for his unwavering commitment to duty and wished him continued success in his new role. “May you find success, peace, and sound health as you take on these higher responsibilities within the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps,” Abolurin stated.

The Lagos State Command reaffirmed its support for the National PRO, expressing strong confidence that his promotion will further bolster the NSCDC’s nationwide strategic communication and public engagement efforts. This elevation is seen as a key step in maintaining the positive image and transparency of the Service across the country.
