The Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 2 Headquarters, Lagos, AIG Adegoke M. Fayoade, mni, psc, has received the Zonal Commander of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Zone A, Ikeja, Assistant Comptroller General of Immigration, ACG Adamu Mohammed, psc, pcc, on a courtesy visit.
The visit, which took place at the Zone 2 Command Headquarters, Onikan, Lagos, was aimed at strengthening existing ties between the Nigeria Police Force and the Nigeria Immigration Service, with particular emphasis on intelligence sharing and operational collaboration to enhance national security.

Speaking during the visit, ACG Adamu Mohammed explained that the engagement was to formally familiarize himself with the Zone 2 Command and to deepen inter-agency synergy, especially in areas critical to safeguarding the nation and ensuring safer communities.
He noted that the Nigeria Immigration Service has over the years benefitted immensely from sustained collaboration with the Police.
In his response, AIG Adegoke M. Fayoade warmly welcomed the NIS Zonal Commander and reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to continuous collaboration with the Immigration Service. He emphasized that effective intelligence sharing and joint operations between both agencies remain crucial in tackling the prevailing security challenges across the country.

The AIG expressed confidence that strengthened cooperation between the Police and the Nigeria Immigration Service would further promote peace, security and public safety nationwide.
The visit underscored the shared resolve of both agencies to work together in advancing national security objectives through coordinated efforts and mutual support.
