The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, on Thursday received the Director-General of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Prof. Ayo Omotayo, at the Force Headquarters in Abuja, where both institutions explored areas of strategic collaboration.
Omotayo was accompanied by retired Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Leye Oyebade, and Dr. Garba Malumfashi.

Discussions at the meeting centred on strengthening institutional partnership between NIPSS and the Nigeria Police Force, particularly in the areas of national security, strategic leadership, capacity building, and policy development.
Omotayo said NIPSS, which operates under the Presidency, remains Nigeria’s foremost policy think tank and a key platform for strategic research and national dialogue.
Responding, the IGP appreciated the visit and emphasised the importance of collaboration between the police and policy institutions in addressing security challenges.
He reaffirmed the commitment of the Force to intelligence-led policing, capacity development, and reforms aimed at improving professionalism and service delivery.
