The Lagos State Police Command has alerted prospective police recruits and members of the public to disregard a fake announcement circulating online claiming that a date has been fixed for the police medical screening exercise.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abimbola Adebisi, said the command had not announced any date for the screening and described the circulating information as false and misleading.
Adebisi warned applicants to be cautious of fraudsters and scammers attempting to exploit unsuspecting individuals through fake recruitment updates and unofficial messages.

The command advised applicants to rely only on verified police communication channels for authentic information regarding the recruitment process and forthcoming medical screening exercise.
According to the statement, official details concerning the exercise would be made public through appropriate and verified platforms at the right time.
The Lagos police command further urged the public to remain vigilant and avoid making payments or sharing personal information with unauthorized persons posing as recruitment agents.
