The Nigeria Police Force and the Nigeria Police Trust Fund (NPTF) have commissioned a newly constructed Taraba State Police Command Headquarters and a modern Divisional Police Headquarters in Yorro Local Government Area of the state.
According to CSP Anietie Okokon Edem Iniedu, Force Public Relations Officer, the projects were commissioned by the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, represented by the Commissioner of Police, Taraba State Command, CP Morkwap Sebastine Dongshal, alongside the Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Police Trust Fund, Alhaji Mohammed Sheidu, and representatives of the Taraba State Government.
Speaking at the event on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, Dongshal expressed appreciation to the Federal Government and the Nigeria Police Trust Fund for their continued commitment to strengthening the operational capacity of the Force.

He said the projects align with the IGP’s people-centred policing vision, particularly efforts aimed at improving officers’ welfare, providing modern infrastructure and creating a conducive working environment for personnel.
”The projects are in line with the Inspector-General of Police’s vision of people-centred policing and underscore the importance of improved welfare, modern infrastructure and enhanced operational capacity for officers and men of the Force,” he stated.

Also speaking, the Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Police Trust Fund, Alhaji Mohammed Sheidu, reaffirmed the Fund’s commitment to supporting the Nigeria Police Force through the provision of critical infrastructure and operational resources.
According to him, the newly commissioned facilities reflect the Federal Government’s determination to strengthen internal security and enhance the capacity of the Police to effectively carry out its constitutional responsibilities.

He assured that the Trust Fund would continue to partner with the Nigeria Police Force in promoting initiatives geared towards improving police welfare, operational efficiency and service delivery nationwide.
Representing the Governor of Taraba State, Lt. Col. Agbu Kefas (rtd), at the ceremony, CP Cyril Agbe (rtd) commended the Federal Government and the Nigeria Police Trust Fund for what he described as a strategic investment in the security architecture of the state.

He noted that the projects would contribute significantly to strengthening policing, enhancing public safety and supporting the overall development of Taraba State.
The Nigeria Police Force reiterated its commitment to leveraging strategic partnerships to improve operational effectiveness, enhance personnel welfare and ensure the delivery of quality policing services across the country.
