As cyber threats continue to pose growing risks to national security and critical infrastructure, the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre (NPF-NCCC) has intensified efforts at building stronger institutional collaboration by hosting students of the Intermediate Cyber Security Course of the Nigeria Army Cyber Warfare School on a study tour in Abuja.
The engagement, which took place on 25th June 2026, aligns with the vision of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu psc(+), NPM, to reinforce inter-agency cooperation and promote seamless collaboration among sister security agencies in addressing emerging security challenges across the country.

Welcoming the delegation on behalf of the IGP, the Director of the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre, CP Akaninyene Ezima mnips, stressed that no single agency can effectively confront the evolving threat landscape alone, noting that sustained partnerships and coordinated operational strategies remain essential to securing Nigeria’s cyberspace.
He reaffirmed that the Nigeria Police Force, through the NPF-NCCC as the lead agency in the fight against cybercrime, remains committed to consolidating existing partnerships and advancing stronger inter-agency engagement aimed at protecting Nigeria’s critical digital infrastructure and strengthening cyber resilience nationwide.

Speaking on behalf of the Commandant of the Nigeria Army Cyber Warfare School, the Deputy Commandant, Lt. Col. A.O. Adeoye, said the study tour formed part of the academic requirements for participants and was designed to bridge classroom learning with practical experience in cybersecurity operations.
According to him, the exposure would provide participants with deeper operational insights into cyber defence mechanisms and the protection of critical national infrastructure while fostering professional growth.

The visit also served as a strategic platform for knowledge exchange, institutional learning and the reinforcement of existing ties between both organisations in the collective effort to counter cyber threats and strengthen national security.
